It's really just a movie DVD, but without moving images. Newer versions of Nero and Roxio can do this too, I believe. The advantage is that the resulting disc plays in any DVD player, no need for a universal player. DVD-Audio on the other hand is a different format altogether and requires special authoring software (DiscWelder comes to mind).
