I remember trying the proto Valveboy at the Mesa/Boogie Hollywood store in 2001 and immediately signing up for one when they came out. Since then I've tried a bunch of other tube od pedals, including the Koch and the Bad Cat, and they have all eventually moved on while the Valveboy remains with me.
