Yea Audiobahn trash. Better than Sony though lol. Anyways it really depends on the sub. My sub is clean tight and loud bass in the ported and at 35hz at that, I couldn't imagine it getting any better in a sealed box. What speakers do you have? I would imagine ported is your best bet. Just power them right!

sealed is fine, a properly designed ported box will work just as well and can be better than a sealed box, it just depends on the application and the proper building/design of the box. In any case, with that little power on a sub that likes 400RMS, I would actually recommend going ported. they tend to be more efficient than a sealed box.

on second look the sealed box is very shallow so probably correct, but with a ported box you get about 30% more bass with the same power, and that extra 30% is way down low where we all love it The only sealed box is the audiobahn box. the wood box is ported. I don't get what you mean?

The Infinity Kappa is an awesome sub. I haven't heard Audiobahn subs, but I have heard both bad and good about them. The sealed is probably a good choice for you also, since you are into SQ. The ported boxes make it loder but do not sound good at all. Remember, the box is one of the most important factors in what the sub will sound like.

As for the Audiobahn subs, they actually perform best in ported enclosures. They do OK in sealed, so as long as you're not thinking about entering any sound-offs, it should do fine. yes it is possible. but a ported box requires more volume than a sealed box. Also the port decreases the volume so once the box becomes ported it will be around .75-.5 cu ft which will be much to small for those subs so are you saying this is not a good idea? yep....
