Weird, well I have no clue, but in general the red light indicates that it's not connecting to your computer, at least not very well. It's definitely not a problem with your mic, so you can rule that out. The only possible solution I can think of is that your computer is not able to give it an optimum amount of power (it is usb powered right?).

Usually, if a USB device was still working, but did not have a working driver on the computer, you would at least see "Unknown Device" or something indicating that the computer could at least recognize that there is a device connected to it. Anyway, could you see if your AudioBox shows up?
