I like that the LClock X03 is a nice complete package. It comes with a little wiring harness and all. Hopefully the Superclock 3 has all that. There is plenty of room inside the Bel Canto DAC2 for upgrades. I think it's pretty important to have side by side comparisons with stock vs. modded to hear the real difference.

As far as the analogue issue, the improvement in the Superclock mod has taken the DV-50 to the analogue level if you want to call it that. There is a presence in the overtones that will simply amaze. Wood sounds like wood, metal sounds like metal. – to the extent that I have never heard in ANY CD player – one box or not.

Here’s a pro shot of the Audiocom Superclock 3, a special circuit that replaces the cheap stock clock (clock is almost impossible to see in the pics I took). Adding these aftermarket clocks (there are several on the market) is generally thought to be one of the best bang-for-the-buck mods you can do.
