The Swan M10 has a V shaped frequency response which means it has boosted bass and boosted treble. The Audioengine A2 has boosted bass and slightly reduced treble. The mids are more forward in the A2 compared to the M10. Clarity is very similar with both speakers.

Audioengine has more powerful deeper yet natural and clean treble. Swan has brighter yet thinner/lighter and crisper treble. Audioengine is way more natural though. I prefer audioengine here.
