Their tube products can be a good deal, IF you pay a low price for them. There are enough cheap used tube amps that are better to consider before AMC. Namely Golden Tube, Jolida, and Rogue. But like I said, if you want a KILLER amp, buy Sedond's Electrocompaniet. Several steps up the ladder from AMC.

In tube amps feedback is useful in getting the amp to behave as a voltage source; in most amps this would be about 15 dB of feedback (feedback is the practice of taking some output signal and applying it to the input of the amp, out of phase with the input signal so it can act as a correction voltage).

Overall, the amp sounded like a nice tube amp, probably best mated with more efficient speakers. For the money there are a lot of better offerings IE: Primaluna, Line Magnetic, Doge 10 MKIII, Willsenton R8 & R800i that are of much better quality and out perform the Raven Black Hawk, and at a significantly lower price point!

It allows the power tubes to idle around 9.75w. Amazingly efficient. The amp has very good planned out ventilation and spacing. No parts are on top of each other. Most of the parts quality is good. There’s a host of Dale resistors, what look like Takmans, nice RCA jacks, heavy teflon hookup wire, and so on.

Tube amps can last a long time because they are fairly easy to repair. Solid state amps, on the other hand, can have their lifespan limited by parts becoming obsolete. Lot of amps made in the 90's used transistors (very good ones by Toshiba and Motorola) that are now no longer made. As long as parts are available, solid state amps can last forever.
