    The latest generation (version 3) of these cabs is imo slightly better for electric bass than its predecessors, and of the two cabs, the Thunderchild 115 has a bit more "growly" going on when the mid switch is in the up position. That's because the TC115 uses a custom Kappalite-based woofer that has a bit of intentional upper-mid bumpage going on.

    Has anyone tried the Audiokinesis Thunderchild (there are 12" and 15" versions) as an FR speaker for reproduction of modelers? For those who aren't aware, the Thunderchild 12" is a very small (14 x 14 x 20?) two-way speaker using an Eminence LF driver and a horn tweeter/mids that will handle 450W of RMS power (900W peak).

    My favorite cab for this is the AudioKinesis Thunderchild 112, but before that I had a fEARful 12/6, Euphonic Audio CxL-112, and an AccuGroove Tri-112L. The AK and fEARful cabs are both much stouter than my old EV TL606 115 cabs ever came close to being. They also need an honest 500 watts for best effect in my playing situations.
