Having owned the Audiolab 8000A series III for a number of years I can give, I hope, a reasonably accurate account of it. I bought it at the time for its accuracy - being partnered with a mildly warm Philips CD850 and mildly forward Tannoy 613's. In reality, it is mildly coloured. Mid range is slightly forward and hi treble is rolled back.

Hi . Has anyone compared a 1990s vintage Audiolab 8000A (the Mk3) with any or all of the NAD C352, NAD C372, Cambridge Audio Azur 640A, and Cambridge Audio Azur 540A please?. I used to run an 8000A Mk3 and really loved the sound quality. Now I'm wondering whether to get another (2nd hand obviously) or one of the other amps mentioned above.
