The 8000C lacks remote NEEDS to be paired with quality CD (source) that is on the "coloured" side and has modern D/A conversion - nothing else will do the 8000P & 8000C justice. Don´t even think about connecting these babies to some old flat sounding cd player or cheap DVD. This is for the combo audiolab 8000C & 8000P bought used.

Seandtaylor is correct, had an Audiolab 8000c from new for over 10 years, sold it to a friend 4 years ago, still going strong. Its pretty neutral has a good phono stage and performs way above its price range. If it is at a reasonable price buy it. Here in the UK Audiolab amps hold their prices well and are much sought after.

Lo folks, I'm interested in getting an Audiolab pre/power combination and was looking at buying a 2nd hand 8000A integrated (60w) and then in the hopefully not too distant future upgrading with a 8000P power amp (100w), using the pre-amp section of the 8000A (and possibly playing with bi-amping using both available power amp's).
