Why would anyone go for the M-DAC when the 8200CD has same spec, plus a quality CD player for a small amount of money difference. I dont have the time to test both out against each other. The result was superb, sounds much better than my Roksan K2. Never compared it to a Marantz, with a good amp, the CDP could be as good as twice the cost. I have heard about the problems with the audiolab 8200, I considered it in the past, and if was going to buy would go for the 8200 with preamp.
