Automated threshold audiometry (ATA) could increase access to paediatric hearing assessment in low- and middle-income countries, but few studies have evaluated test-retest repeatability of ATA in children. This study aims to analyse test-retest repeatability of ATA and to identify factors that affect the reliability of this method.
Repeatability of the TEN(HL) test for detecting cochlear ...
https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/17922347/
Testing was repeated using the same equipment and procedures, after an interval of less than five days. The number of ears that met the criteria for diagnosing a cochlear dead region on initial test was three (13%) and nine (22.5%) for the teenagers and adults, respectively.
Test-retest reliability of pure-tone thresholds from 0.5 ...

Intrasession test-retest repeatability from 0.5 to 12.5 kHz at each individual frequency including the frequency range susceptible to noise-induced hearing loss was excellent for both transducers. Repeatability was slightly, but significantly poorer in the frequency range from 14 to 16 kHz compared with the frequency ranges from 0.5 to 6 or 8 to 12.5 kHz.

we recruited 21 additional subjects to test the repeatability and generalization of the audiometric findings when clinic-based testing was performed by various ear, nose, and throat (ENT) and audiology clinics (see Supporting Methods for more detail). Most of the participants in experiment 2 reported chronic tinni-

“Dead regions” in the cochlea pose unique challenges to dispensing professionals. In this article, one of the world’s leading authorities on the subject describes the implementation of a built-in audiometric test, the TEN(HL), which diagnoses dead regions, then discusses the implications of possible results on treatment options and the application of amplification.
Guidelines for Manual Pure-Tone Threshold Audiometry
https://www.asha.org/policy/GL2005-00014/
Scope. Pure-tone threshold audiometry is the measurement of an individual's hearing sensitivity for calibrated pure tones. Three general methods are used: (a) manual audiometry, also referred to as conventional audiometry; (b) automatic audiometry, also known as Békésy audiometry; and (c) computerized audiometry. The guidelines presented in this document are limited to manual …

Approximately 2-120 days after the initial administration of PRP, a tone audiometric test was performed as described in (1). To analyze the data obtained as a result of the test and to evaluate the differences between the indicators before the introduction and after the introduction, the SPSS WIN 18.0 program was used at each frequency and the ...

Hearing tests are only provided up till 8kHz. As we all know, the hearing loss responsible for Tinnitus might very well be above 8kHz, so it would be interesting to do an extended audiometric test on these patients. This is apparently not being done. From what it looks like, the effects in the higher frequencies seem to be lesser (6kHz-8kHz).
