Audionics CC-2s for about 99 bucks each, plus shipping, plus whatever repairs/ mods I need. Want to run them in a bi-amping situation. I'm not audio e.e. savvy to do myself---but have an excellent repair shop in my town with folks hip to Audionics, complete schematics, etc. Amps work (one output transistor replaced) but may want new caps.

When compared to my reference amps, two Audionics CC-2 amps, one for each channel not running in bridged mode, the Audionics are silky smooth and image well (3-Dimensional). The Audiosource amp is cold bright and 2-Dimensional. I would say this amplifier is an entry-level audiophile quality amp. A quantum leap above any receiver I have ever heard.

Audionics Of Oregon CC-2 [Template] no longer for sale Average Research Pricing A hand-me-down from my dad, who was the original owner as far as I know. Not much wear, and sounded great when I hooked it up to my turntable with the Audionics of Oregon BT-2 preamplifier (which I'm also selling separately on this site).

In 1976, Audionics introduced the CC-2, which was probably one of the first low-TIM amps in the US. Sure enough, it sounded much better than the PZ-3, and the failure rate in the field was well under 1%. The reason for both was probably the >200kHz power bandwidth and an excess phase margin of 60 degrees, both quite unusual at the time.
