The default setting is 1056 samples per buffer, giving a latency value of 24mS at 44.1kHz, but you can alter this between 240 and 2688 samples per buffer, depending on the speed of your computer. For some strange reason I got an …

Mar 26, 2003 09:37 pm Thats good. I know Sonar sets their buffers up a bit differant. I just DLd another set of beta drivers for the Delta. They are stripped down version for Pro level studio use, and they wont work with the run of the mill windows apps. but the first beta drivers I tested got my effective latency down to 2.7ms but it was a bit unstable and would lock …

Are you sure your audio device supports the currently specified sample rate and/or bit resolution?' Odd! The 2496 card is supposed to be able to cope with digital inputs up to 96kHz, so a 48kHz DAT shouldn't be a problem, assuming you have the card correctly configured to take its clock from the S/PDIF input, and the DAW project is at 48kHz.

Status: offline. RE: Issues with Audiophile 2496 2007/08/10 08:54:04 ( permalink ) If the card was on external sync it would only play at whatever sample-rate the device feeding the s/pdif input has. If the external unit was switched off under this condition, the card would be totally whacked with no sample-rate clock.

Audiophile 24/96? : I wanted to record the pod via S/PDIF thru the audiophile and when I changed the input to S/PDIF I got a loud hiss(air), I know this card has been out for awhile so I guess the question is am I doing something wrong or is it time to move to a new soundcard? I still want to use the analog in's of the card, I just want to record the pod's unprocessed guitar …
