just thought id add as an owner of both dd and audioque subs they are one and the same when it comes to motors and baskets/ soft parts as well. the difference is in machining and tooling which costs a LOT. I have experience in the dd9515d and e series and the audioque hd3 12" and all are VERY similar.

Posted on Wednesday, July 08, 2009 - 16:02 GMT. I to would take the previous hd3 over the new hdc3's any day. The hd3's were built so well. I abused mines and felt they were indestructible. I used mines for about a year on the Massive 3k amps. After taking them out they were stiff as the day I got them.
