However though, all the HDC3's use 8 spiders !!!! These drivers should be incredible, and I cant wait. I'll be feeding 6000watts to my 4. Also, the 18"s weigh in at almost 60lbs. **EDIT** looks like we have had similar setups. First we had the Fi BL's (I had 2 18"s), then sold them, and went to audioque, looks like you might go down the same path!

The audioque's are built strong as well and just because some people have never heard about them does not mean they are bad. The audioque copper coil will take about 2000-2500wrms if you know what you are doing. If you get the aluminum coil version you can throw 3000wrms to the hdc3. Best bang for your buck is AQ people just don't know.

The HDC3 motor is stronger then the HD3. It has a bumped backplate, three stack magnet, the top plate is not as thick, extended pole piece cross drilled for better cooling and a couple of other things we don't mention.The HD3 and HDC3 motors are quite a bit dif in design. The 9500 motor is a much more advanced design then the HD3 and HDC3 motors.

The audioque hdc3 is going to be a lot louder as they are much more beefier can take more power and require more mounting depth. I have messed with an aq1200d, know some people with aq1200's and the 3500d. For the price to performance ratio the best deal is with AQ.
