It is true that there are some similarities between the two boards, but there are many other parts to an amp, and AQ uses better quality. IMO I would put AQ closer to Sundown type quality. Hifonics stretches their numbers a little (lot) but AQ hits it dead on if not a little over. I think you are going to be happy with the AQ.
