I upgraded the RCA from my Arcam CD-73 to my Arcam Alpha 7 amp, from a Monster THX to a used Audioquest Topaz, it was a clear and immediate improvement, larger soundstage and more detailed vocals. I even tried a new Monster M 1000 RCA that cost me over twice as much, but the Audioquest still beat it out in sheer soundstage and detail.

Compared to ordinary, cheap interconnects, the Topaz has a much wider soundstage. The bass comes through much cleaner and more definitive. Music, especially songs/pieces that have alot going on at once, sound much more "organized" and "articulate". With the cheap cable, everything is jumbled up into a mess.

I have Audioquest SKY interconnects, and they are AMAZING (and expensive). Have heard Columbia, and they were very, very good. Would expect Niagara to fall somewhere in between. No real experience with anything down the chain, although I would expect Columbia (or anything else that uses the DBS system) to sound good, also. dwmann, Jan 23, 2008 #2

In the Forest, Audioquest has produced a cable that's a very close rival to Chord's all-powerful Supershield A real entertainer, thanks to the chunky bass delivery and enthusiastic presentation Smooth operator with refined and pleasing sound, and a really well-made feel. Not the most impressive cable for £20

Audioquest cables "The Entry Level #34 Page 2". Submitted by Majico Garcia on November 15, 2015 - 5:34pm. Its curious you would hear an improvement in sound going from the entry level Tower to the Evergreen, considering they are absolutely identical in construction but for the Evergreens nicer jacket.
