As soon as you get 3 blocks (either horizontally or vertically), then you have a certain amount of time (not sure how long) before they disappear and you are awarded 315 points. So sometimes it can be a while till you get a large collection of blocks and enough to make a big combo/grid.

This is impossible in Audiosurf 2, and when a track actually does this it legitimately makes me want to go back to Audiosurf 1 and give up entriely on Audisurf 2 for my youtube stealth runs. Plus, Ninja Mode in Audiosurf 2 removed one important part of the gameplay, you no longer earn any points by the action of collecting colored blocks.
