My Audiovox Cruise Control Install: 2001 ST1100 IMHO this is the ultimate farkle. I have never understood why a motorcycle manufacturer can design a long distance machine and not considered placing a cruise control on them. For my 01', I had to do a lot of maintenance this winter and that included a coolant system overhaul.

Audiovox Cruise Just curious. I've put these cruise controls on st1100's, st1300's Valkyries and Vstrom 1000's. I've never hooked one up to the tach for RPM sensing. I always use the coil lead with dip switches set for 8k PPM and Sensitivity to medium. Did you connect to the tach or the coil lead?

This is a leftover Audiovox CCS-100 cruise control. I picked up three when they where clearance items at Autozone. One I put on my 1996 Honda ST1100 and one I gave away to a friend. These were a big thing maybe like 15 years ago. It has all the original pieces in there and directions. Never used just tucked away by a hoarder.

Sep 13, 2006. #3. There's two popular cruise control units for the ST, with differing amounts of complexity to install. The less expensive way to go is to use a standard Audiovox cruise control unit ... these were on sale at Autozone not too long ago for something like $39.

The MC Cruise control adds a second junction box that mounts under the front fairing with a short, approximately 12 inch, throttle cable going from their box to the throttle. Yes, the Bowden box will slide out the right side after lifting the tab, disconnecting the left throttle body cable, and pushing hard.

It's function is to monitor engine R.P.M. and disengage the cruise control when the clutch is applied or the transmission shift lever is moved in to neutral. When a sudden rise in R.P.M. is detected, the decision to disengage is made for 'over rev' protection, the blue wire must be attached to the negative side of the ignition coil.
