To disengage, tap on brake or turn switch off - cruise will disengage. Follow same procedure at 45 MPH and at 55 MPH If unit is inoperative, open cover on cruise and look at the LED. Press Set button, LED should light. Press Resume button, LED should light. Step on the brake, LED should light. If LED does not light then check wiring.

Trying a fix around the LED taillight no ground problem, will use a relay with the Versys brakelight wire as trigger for the relay. A standard 1157 bulb is hooked to ground and to the PURPLE wire to the Cruise Control, this should trick the CC to believe a real brake light is on. Will test in the morning. P.S. Rats, the picture is not very clear.

None of the many install write-ups I've read (several on 2-cylinder bikes) report any problems with insufficient vacuum, and since the Audiovox is available on Amazon for 85 bucks/free shipping the Rostra unit would be more than twice as expensive. Probably gonna wait till the weather cools a bit here before I install it though.
