One unanswered question is the scale length. Tutmarc's catalog says the overall length is 42" but not what the scale length is.

    The sound is really good, the ebony nut works fine. I love the walnut and the 'Art Deco' styling of the body, scratchplate and headstock. On a related topic: I had read that Paul Tutmarc's son put the date of the first basses as 1936, pehaps this is why the bass model is a "736", and the amp is a "936"...
