Solution: One of the reasons why the wave file might not import could be because it's not a proper LCPM uncompressed waveform. To avoid incompatibility issues, it is suggested that you convert your sound file to a waveform that is LPCM-encoded, containing two channels of 44,100 samples per second and that is 16 bits per sample (in short: 44.1 kHz, 16 bit, two channel, LCPM).
