posted December 19, 2002 06:04 AM. With a 6db crossover point, the slopes arent very harsh, lots of overlapping frequencies. Instead of putting a steep crossover point at 500hz, Apogee used 300hz@6db, so at 300hz you will notice the highs trail off. Same with the midrange, you will hear much lower than 700hz, just not as loud.
