Currently running windows 10 and Avid Version 8.51. When applying a compressor either using RTAS or Audio suite we are geting an error message stating "Exception: AMPI Subsystem error, Error Message Assertion in \\sys\Win32\sys_VolumeWin32.cpp line 237." Only seems to be happeneing when using compressor.

Go to Start--->Search---> type in UAC. Set UAC Lever to the bottom (turning it off.) Try rebooting Avid and see if that fixed your problem. If it didn't, try going to advance audio options on Windows and see if enable priority device control is checked. The UAC thing worked for me when I couldn't enable DAE in Avid in 5.02.
