Editor creates edit with hotmix stereo wavs for that time span (he can 'autosequence' in avid + they'll create a timeline correctly) + exports an AAF.

Re: Timecode reader plugin. You could also try: SMPTE Reader. Converts/displays TC on Audio input to MTC. If you're on PT9 or later, you wouldn't need an external cable. Get Soundflower from Cycling74, make an aggregate PT device, route the TC track to Soundflower, and have SMPTE Reader take Soundflower as its input. Florian.
