Xpress Pro isn't qualified to work on Vista, so that could be part of the problem. If you can go back to Windows XP Pro SP2, that's the first thing I'd suggest. If not, go to your Windows audio settings and make sure the system is set up to use the Soundblaster card instead of the Realtek card.

That's annoying, but you may not need a new card. Take a look at your Windows mixer settings and make sure audio is set to your sound card. If that's not it, I'd try reinstalling the drivers for your audio card, and if that doesn't work I'd try reinstalling Xpress Pro. Hope you get it sorted. good luck, Carl

So I got Avid Xpress Pro HD version 5.2.1 and then on initialising audio for this version was told no audio cards could be found in my system. I can use Avid with no Audio, but this is not an option for me as I need sound for my project.
