Xpress Pro 5.7 hangs initializing audio - Avid Community

Both systems have versions of Xpress Pro 5.7, but when I tried to open program on laptop, it hung on "Initializing Open GL". I inserted installation CD and tried repair; then tried re-install and finally installed the newer of the two versions, purchased for the PC, onto the laptop. Now, it is hanging on "Initializing Audio"

Perhaps a "long shot" but if you have a nVidia GFX card, go to the nVidia Control Panel menu for "manual control" of .exe programs. If necessary, add the Avid Xpress program .exe to the list, then click on Xpress Pro in that list. Enter Xpress Pro's settings and make sure to DEactivate "Enable Threaded Optimization."

When starting PT hold the N key down and choose the internal sound card and when you done this post back and let us know what happened. Best of Luck Christopher I finally got it to work! I reinstalled Windows (not sure if it helped), reinstalled Pro Tools, and reinstalled my audio drivers (in that order).
