When trying to play a file in avidemux I get the error popup box "trouble initializing audio device" Check in preferences make sure it is set to Local playback downmixing: stereo Volume Control: master Audio Output: ALSA the final reading I'm not sure about . . Alsa device: dmix If I change this to default I can playback audio in avidemux but it stutters.

Simple, easy, and never any problems. Not sure exactly when it started, but now when I load videos in avidemex, it shows an error, "trouble initializing audio device," and the videos play at an increased speed. I've selected both alsa and pulseaudio as the audio device in avidemux (my system uses pulse), and neither one works.
