The AVIDEMUX application survived the upgrade from Hardy to Intrepid, but sometime during the last 10 days, a routine Ubuntu update has broken the sound. So when I load a video, select the main audio track, and then press play, I get the message "Trouble Initializing Audio Device". The 2.6.4 audio problem for me was AviDemux settings, nothing to do with audio in the file. Every time I opened a file, no audio. I finally looked in Edit, Preferences, Audio, and AudioDevice was DUMMY, which I changed to Win32.
