I rebooted and tried the BIOS again and this time a saw an option that either I missed the first time, or, it only showed up when I put the soundcard in. Under the Security section, there was an option to Hide the Onboard Audio. I turned that on, saved and rebooted and saw the soundblaster and no onboard audio. Works like a charm.
