Axiom Audio Design (Customized) The M22 is definitely not the average bookshelf loudspeaker. For starters, it is noticeably taller than the typical bookshelf, with a height of nearly 20 inches. This extra height allows for the installation of the single 1″ titanium dome tweeter and two 5.25″ aluminum cone mid/bass drivers.

Reviewers and customers love the M22 in both stereo music and home theater settings: "Combine this speaker with a powered subwoofer in either a two-channel music system or a multichannel home-theater system and you have one heck of a full-range system for a previously unheard-of price." -- John Potis, Goodsound.com

My M22's are the largest of three bookshelf speakers offered by Axiom and priced at $640 with shipping included. The M22's are of moderate height coming in at 19", but seem shallow at 8" and narrow at 7.3". They feature a nice trapezoid shape which is …

cords. The M22ti's are an audiophile speaker costing less than these elaborate and mostly unnecessary novelties. They managed to create a wide-open soundstage, while at the same time, portraying a precise stereo image. So precise that at times, these loudspeakers almost seemed to disappear The midrange was very smooth and neutral sounding.

The axiom m22 and 60`s were not good. I had a speaker shootout with a fellow axiom owner. They fell to last place vs Klipsch klf-20`s and Jbl stio 312`s. They were very lifeless and my friend was very upset. Needless to say they are no longer in my system or his. They r great speakers appearance wise and definately the nicest looking I`ve had.

I like Axiom speakers. I like the way the company does business. It allows guys like me to buy really good speakers without spending a fortune. These M22's sound great, have a great, the midrange is the best I've ever heard, great detail and great precise soundstage. Pair these with an NAD integrated amp and an Oppo BDP-83 player and you're set.

Looks-wise, the M22 is a beautiful speaker. I opted not to do the upgraded finishes as they can get pricey but the Boston Cherry finish is plenty nice on its own. The M22 is not a small speaker, obviously. Standing almost 20 inches tall, it is more aptly called a floorstanding speaker than a bookshelf speaker. The dual woofers ensure that.

Picture a standard bookshelf speaker as the upper two-thirds, sitting atop an extra woofer. The M22 is Vortex-ported and magnetically shielded, and that extra woofer gives it a bit more weight (16 pounds each) than you might expect. The five-way binding posts are gold-plated.
