The Fuzz Mutant (to me) is a bit less touch sensitive and I tend to use it with full guitar volume all the time. The clamp knob gets you a wide range of tones (just like the texture knob does on the Spooky Tooth). With a cranked amp this pedal can get some frighteningly good sounds.
