    It has on-board mics (modular) and 2 combo inputs with phantom power. It also doubles as an audio interface. And when doing so, you can choose bus-power or battery power.     I recall some battery powdered audio interfaces from M-Audio, for around $80-90. Tough for me to recommend M-Audio as the cheaper devices have poor preempt, and components. But in a pinch, I guess they'll cover your needs. Probably just makes more sense to have a battery powered backup, with an inverter. Then you could continue to use the 2r2.
