For those complaining of audio if you have the system switch to DTS 5.1. Picture quality is reasonable and the director gives us liberal shots of the orchestra. A symphonic treasure. Here I am a year later after reviewing 5 Beethoven 9 symphonies. If you have a Blu-ray machine get the recent Vienna DVD with Thielmann conducting.
