Belles 55 Preamp? — Polk Audio Forum

Information is abundant about the Belles 2xA (20, 21, 22, etc.), and they are all well-reviewed and well-liked. The only information I could find on the Belles 55 was actually about the Belles OCM-55 and consisted almost entirely of a single thread on Audio Karma and a couple sale threads with vastly different asking prices.

David Belles had been making fine audio components for years. Amazingly, each new product sounds better than the previous. His 150A Hot Rod is a classic. Well, having a J2 on hand is also old news! Also old news is having the Pass XA200.8 on hand. Both are gone. Now, my reference is the Legacy Audio i.V4 Ultra Amplifier. Yes, a class D amp! Briefly, I would characterize the Belles mono block amps as more powerful and dark, while the J2 is less powerful and more lithe. Blessings, Douglas Schroeder
