First off if you're using hdmi cable, I bet you're using nvidia hd audio and thats cool. But you'll also need to enable your onboard audio and install the drivers for it, which may be realtek hd audio. After installing that, you'll need to right click the sound icon> go to recording devices > right click show disabled > and enable stereo mix.

Go to "Control Panel" and find "Sound" (if there is no Sound icon, click on "All control panel items" and you'll see Sound there). In the sound settings there should be four "pockets": Playback, recording, sounds and communications. Open recordings and right-click on stereo mix, then click enable. That's pretty much it.
