All I had to do to get the sound to work was. 1. right click the speaker symbol on the bottom right. 2.click recording Devices 3 right click in the box and pick show disabled devices 4 right click stero mix and click enable I did not have to run in compatability mode or run as admin. The game plays perfect. Guess I got lucky.

After installing that, you'll need to right click the sound icon> go to recording devices > right click show disabled > and enable stereo mix. If its there already just enable it. How this works is realtek will decode and playback will be through the hdmi device (nvidia hd audio) so two heads better than one.

Enable Stereo mixing, to do this browse to Start > Control Panel > Sound (in classic view). Once done switch to the Recording tab which will show the currently active inputs on your system (e.g. Line in, Microphone). Right click in the clear space below these devices and select the option for Show disabled devices.
