Coupling aluminium electrolytic bipolar capacitors
https://electronics.stackexchange.com/questions/473782/coupling-aluminium-electrolytic-bipolar-capacitors
Can I use two antiseries electrolytic capacitors to create a non-polarized one, and use it as coupling to the input of an audio amplifier? I know that electrolytics change capacity as voltage and frequency change, but this doesn't really seem like a problem to me. It's just a DC blocking capacitor.

2014-03-15 4:49 am. #1. I am for some reason having trouble understanding how 2 regular electrolytics can be combined in series to form a bipolar electrolytic capacitor. The only way I can see that working is if the electrolytic capacitor acts as a short in its reverse polarity with extremely low esr, inductance and capacitance.

This device is designed for audio. It prevents all excess; it is one of the softness capacitor, its dynamic is a bit flat. It will keep good place on low cost devices. Sprague 515D(M) I put this standard capacitor to compare with newer one. All other device has los ESR or designed for audio. Sprague 515DM is standard purpose.
Can bipolar capacitors be used instead of polar …

1) Instead of ceramic 0.47uF 50V caps at C669-C670, Proton installed a pair of 10uF 16V bipolar electrolytic caps in this location. 2) Instead of ceramic 0.1uF 100V caps at C631-C634, 1uF 160V caps were used. 3) SM specifies bipolar 1uF 50V caps at C609-C610 but there are absolutely no caps on this board, just empty spaces.
