Re: Audio Sync capturing with Intensity Pro PCI from SVHS. Monitoring the capture from within Blackmagic Media Express, the audio and video sync is fine. But the finished capture file starts out in sync and then by 45 minutes or so is wildly out sync (audio preceding video by a good couple of seconds).

If the BM device doesn't receive a full frame then it drops that frame and you get sync issues. This will show up if you have it set to stop on dropped frames. The usual way round this is to send the signal through a timebase corrector to clean up the source signal before feeding it to the BM device

The clip was smooth, but the audio was delayed by about 3 seconds. I imported the clip into Vegas Pro 9.0 and watched in there. The audio was in sync and everything was fine. I put some color correctors on it and rendered it with .wmv codec. When the video was finished the audio was out of sync again!

I'm capturing some material with BlackMagic Intensity Pro in FCP on my MacPro. The capture process seems to go fine, but as soon as I starting with the clip, I immediately notice that the sound is completely out of synch with the video. Video was captured from a cable box, using component video connection and simple L/R audio.
