Re: BMPCC audio help. Tue Oct 18, 2016 12:31 am. The Pocket camera audio is not totally "clean" as the camera preamps are a little noisy. You can get useable results using a good high end mic preamp, like a Sound a Devices MixPre D, and sending a feed to the camera via the MicPrs's unbalanced stereo output.

The onboard audio for the camera is known to be very low and have a horrible preamp. I did use a Deity V Mic D3 Pro for audio and the sound through the 3.5mm input was still low even at max setting. I moved over to using an audio mixer with the mic and it fixed the problem.
