I've pretty much tried 'em all, including the Bock 195 and the U87 Both great mics IMO But NO OTHER MIC quite does exactly what a U87 does IMO It depends on whether you need that "something" that the U87 provides. There seem to be plenty of people doing excellent work with both mics Enjoy your Bock 195. It's a keeper. But it's not a U87.
