I can barely hear a thing. In another post someone stated to go to full screen mode, then click on your username then under the Settings menu go to > Audio > “Normalize Downmixed Volume” But for me this doesn’t exist (I have a newer version perhaps?) Under Settings I only have: General Remote Access Agents Library Plugins Network Transcoder Languages DLNA …
Easiest way to Increase audio of a movie on Plex? : PleX

The headphones volume is at 100 (MAX) and the plex audio boost in settings does absolutely nothing. So I'm wondering if there is a way to somehow increase the audio track without having to extract the tracks with some program, increase them in another and remux them into the original. The file sizes are 20-30gb anyway, so that would take too long.

For the web player you want the Multi-Channel Audio Boost (Settings->Web->Player), in the other clients it's called the same thing, something similiar, or just Audio Boost (Check under Video or Audio settings in the clients, I see from your posting history you have a android client settings->Video->Audio Boost).

I have a samsung Smart TV, running the latest version of the plex app, as well as the latest version of the plex media server on my mac. My issue is the volume of all the content I play through plex needs to be significantly increased so I can hear it, but when I go back to watching anything else aside from plex its normal.

Audio boost location? Solved. Can't find it on my pc. On my TV on the built in plex app it's in settings. On pc it's not there. I just find the audio to be a little low. Do I have to have the audio boost setting on on both my pc and TV? Or just the tvs app? I try the same video file via USB and it sounds a lot crisper and louder compared to it ...
Multi-Channel Audio Boost doesn't do anything : PleX

According to Plex this only works when an audio tack is transcoded down to stereo from a multi channel track. So it's not equipment dependent like the other comment says but it only applies when the audio is transcoded down to stereo. Multi-Channel Audio Boost
