I reinstalled windows a couple of days ago, installed BS player free again and since then the conversations in every movie/tv show is quiet and the action is way too loud. I've tried windows media player and VLC too, both works okay, youtube videos are fine but the BS player can't really handle the audio lately.

I have the latest ffdshow and XVid, but BSPlayer (v2.51 build 1021) still won't play any AVI or WMV (haven't tried other formats yet). The window size is correct, but it's just black. Windows Media Player 12 plays them no problem. I was trying to change the codec settings in ffdshow, but to no avail.
