I've since been using the 800's a lot more for recording as they seem to have a little tighter sound in the lower frequencies. I monitor out of the ad8000's/800's through a Chandler mini-mixer and am toying with the idea of getting a Burl B2 Bomber ADC for the front end conversion. Lives for gear. My Studio. 🎧 5 years. Had the bomber for a little while and graduated to the mothership. I’m bias had a few converters along the way from apogee to UAD 2192, lynx aurora all decent but the burls just have a vibe that I can ever see going stale they just sound musical to me. Can’t go wrong 8 years or 18 years old.
