yea my 09 RED Hi-Fi has the same issue with audio cutting out, its due to the way they position the stupid jack sideways on the helmet, the cable pulls down and doesnt make a solid connection. I have to pull a bit of slack cable up out of my jacket to keep it from pulling down and cutting out all or half of the stereo channel when i move my head.

I have the first year HIFI audio helmet that RED released (04 or 05?) and the speakers just went out last year and I tried using ear buds, but they suck and always fall out!
