So i rebooted my comp. Now, the Sigmatel audio driver is missing. Everything is greyed out. I have reformatted my comp, but the problem persists. When i try to install the driver, it say "device object not present" I am using Windows XP. Someone help PLEASE!!! Thursday, September 17, 2009 1:03 PM. All replies

Device manager shows "Multimedia Audio Controller" under Other Devices, but the Update Driver button doesn't find any drivers. Before I installed I checked and saw that it's a SigmaTel C-Major Audio device. I downloaded the recommended driver (9524859.exe), but when I run the installer it says "Device Object not present".
