CTS does not allow bluetooth streaming. For those of use with android smartphones, we have to buy a bluetooth dongle and plug it into the aux jack. Control is still on the device and not on the car. Setting up your choice of device cradles and a wired connection is a reasonable though old school alternative.

My CTS does not appear to support bluetooth audio. Bluetooth works fine for hands free calling, but doesn't appear as a device I can send music to on my iPhones. I've been using the USB port which has worked great thus far, but my new iPhone 13 won't interface with it. Radio says it's an unrecognized device.

bt adapter does not control anything. it just lets you stream music. generally speaking with you do bt audio streaming from a home theather or a stock equiped car, it would do the same thing. ipod connected to ipod adapter allows you to control the ipod. phone connected via bt to a ipod connector lets you control nothing since there is nothing to control.
