The cost of the MSB with the power supply was $1,500. In my opinion, too much money for "a little". My conclusion is that CD6 is a very good CD that can compete with CDs of the line of MF X Ray, Marant CD 17, Rotel , etc. My congratulations to CAMBRIDGE AUDIO, since I have been enjoing a very good sound with a very serious CD player.

I would still like to repair my cd6 as it has been a very musical player. It has perferomed well even when used in a high end system - inc a level 2 audio note amp & speakers! I would however not be keen to buy Cambridge again due to the lack of support I recieved in dealing with the company.

But I did get happy again. I bought another Cambridge deck and I use it as a transport with the coax digital out going into a DACMagic 100. I love it. The CD6 was the first deck where I could 'live with' CD sound, but it's replacement was the first time I could honestly say I found CD audio to be equally enjoyable to vinyl.

To be fair, Cambridge finally gave her a free upgrade to the CD6 player which she had fairly good luck with for about 6 months before it started skipping randomly. In frustration, the dealer has given up dealing with Cambridge and my friend has now moved on to ARCAM CD player herself.
