Rob, It's a male connector that plugs into the camera and has a connector that plugs into the mixer. I don't know if it is stereo or not. So, I got my (New to me) and Canon Elura 40MC and I recorded with it and Im not getting an audio out the DV port. I used iMovie to capture the video and the video captured fine but audio wasnt there. flat lined. EDIT: I found the battery and ordered replacements. The same original issue is there at hand. No DV port audio out.
